Jordan District secondary schools participate in the Utah Scholars Initiative, a program of the Outreach and Access Division of the Utah System of Higher Education. As part of the initiative, students are encouraged sign up to become Utah Scholars and complete a course of study that will help them build a solid academic foundation for college and career readiness. Students who complete the Utah Scholars Core Course of Study will receive a certificate of recognition and a Utah Scholars medallion after submitting an application to verify they have met the requirements.

BONUS . . . Completing the Utah Scholars Curriculum with a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA with no individual course grade below a “C” helps a student become eligible to apply for the Regents’ Scholarship Base Award.
ANOTHER BONUS . . . Completing the Utah Scholars Curriculum with a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA with no individual course grade below a “B” and an ACT score of 26 or higher helps a student become eligible to apply for the Regents’ Scholarship Exemplary Academic Achievement Award
Note: It is possible for a student to earn both the Base Award and the Exemplary Academic Achievement Award.
