College BlocksCollege Days:  Every fall, high schools host a college day for seniors.  This is an opportunity for you to meet college representatives from colleges throughout Utah.

  • In an opening session, general information that is applicable at any college is shared with all students.  Then,  you have the opportunity to attend presentations from three colleges of your choice.  In the breakout sessions, colleges provide information specific to their schools about admissions, tuition, financial aid, scholarships, housing ets.  To make the most of college day, come prepared with questions to ask the representatives.
  • Make it a priority to attend your high school college day!  At the beginning of the school year, watch for announcements about the agenda for college day at your school.

 The specific dates for the Jordan School District College Day for the
2015-2016 school year will be posted as soon as they are available. 

Bingham High School – Fall 2015
Copper Hills High School – Fall 2015
Herriman High School – Fall 2015
Riverton High School – Fall 2015
West Jordan High School – Fall 2015

 Open Houses:  College open houses are held throughout the state in the evening.  This is a great opportunity for students from all grade levels to visit with college representatives and receive valuable information  Check with your school counselor and watch for announcements about college open houses.

College Fairs:  If it is difficult for you to travel to a college campus because of distance, you have the opportunity to visit colleges when they’re right here in your backyard.  Colleges from all over the nation visit Utah.  Attend a local college fair to visit with representatives from schools in which you are interested.
